All Victorian government primary schools follow the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline. The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child at a Victorian government primary school.
You can apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) in 2027 from Monday 20 April 2026.
What you need to do:
1. Contact Wyndham Vale Primary School to book an optional school tour(contact details below).
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (below). This pack includes guidance on the application process.
3. Submit an enrolment application by Friday 31 July 2026.
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 3 August and Friday 14 August 2026.
5. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should accept the offer by Friday 28 August 2026.
6. Take part in school transition sessions during Term 4, 2026.
7. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28 January 2027.
Enrolment applications submitted after 31 July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Enrolment Policy.

Other year level enrolments
We also accept enrolment applications for students in other year levels. You can submit a request at any time in the school year.
Eligible students who live within our school zone are guaranteed a place, while students outside the zone may be enrolled if there are available places.

ENROLMENT PROCESS
1. Check whether Wyndham Vale Primary School is your designated neighbourhood school using the Department of Education and Training ‘Find my School‘ website.
2. Download and complete the relevant enrolment form.
3. Email your completed form to 5549-enrolments@schools.vic.edu.au and a representative from the school will contact you.
Supporting documentation
1. 100-Point Residential Address Check
Important: You will be required to provide documents to verify your child’s permanent residence.
Any combination of the following documents is acceptable, as long as they add up to at least 100 points.

2. Proof of student’s age
Locate your child’s birth certificate or passport to prove they turn 5 years of age on or before April 30th of the year they commence Foundation.

3. Immunisation history
Immunisation History: Locate your child’s immunisation history statement from the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). Parents are sent a statement when their child turns five; however, you can request a statement from AIR at any time.
4. Visa documentation
Please provide your passport or any visa documentation if your child was born overseas.
